1. Agreement to These Terms
Welcome to SteamWok (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of steamwok.org (the “Site”).
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Site.
2. About SteamWok
SteamWok is a free, curated directory of local and online educational resources. Our goal is to help parents and guardians, students, and educators discover enrichment opportunities such as libraries, museums, classes, tutoring, camps, and community programs.
The Site is an informational guide, not a marketplace. Entries in our listings are short informational summaries to help you explore options in your community. We also welcome community contributions, including suggestions to share or request resources for inclusion in the directory.
3. Use of the Site
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site on your own, or you must use it with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 should use the Site only with a parent’s or guardian’s supervision.
If you submit content or contact us on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that you have the parent’s or guardian’s permission.
You agree to use the Site only for its intended purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Information on the Site Is for General Guidance Only
Listings are informational. We work hard to keep the Site current, but schedules, prices, availability, and program details change frequently. We cannot guarantee that every listing is accurate, complete, or up to date.
Inclusion is not endorsement. Listing a program, provider, or event on SteamWok is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of its quality, safety, or fitness for any purpose. We do not independently vet the providers we list.
Verify before you act. Before enrolling in or attending any program, please verify the details directly with the provider — for example, registration deadlines, costs, eligibility, safety policies, and age requirements — and use your own judgment.
We are not a party to your arrangements. SteamWok is not a party to any arrangement between you and a listed provider, and we are not responsible for any program, service, or event listed or linked on the Site.
5. Community Submissions
Accuracy and rights. If you share a resource or suggest a listing (a “Submission”), you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that it does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property or other rights, and that it does not contain unlawful, misleading, or harmful content.
License to publish. By making a Submission, you grant SteamWok a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and publish the Submission on the Site, so that we can maintain the directory.
Editorial control. We may edit, organize, or remove Submissions at our discretion — for example, to correct them, keep them brief, or remove outdated or inappropriate entries. We do not guarantee that any Submission will be published.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations;
submit false, misleading, or infringing content, or impersonate any person or organization;
attempt to access data or systems not made available to you, or to interfere with the operation of the Site;
scrape or copy content from the Site in bulk for republication or commercial redistribution without our prior written permission; or
upload or transmit any material containing viruses or other harmful code.
We may restrict or terminate your access to the Site if you violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
Our content. The Site’s original content — including its text, guides, design, and the curated presentation of listings — is owned by SteamWok and protected by intellectual property laws. You may link to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution for non-commercial purposes. Any other reproduction or redistribution requires our prior written permission.
Third-party marks. Names, logos, and trademarks referenced in listings belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on the Site does not imply endorsement of, or affiliation with, SteamWok.
8. Advertising
Third-party ads. The Site may display advertising provided by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Advertising content is editorially separate from our listings; engaging with advertisers is at your own risk and subject to the advertiser’s own terms.

9. Links to Other Websites
Our listings contain links to external websites. We provide these links for convenience and information only.
We do not control linked websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Using a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that listings will always be accurate or complete.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SteamWok will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site, or your reliance on any content listed on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Site is limited to $100.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site will be governed by the laws of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion first; any legal proceeding will be brought in the courts located in Massachusetts, USA.
